Employment for a person with FASD can be as problematic as the school years. Unless apropriate strategies and accommodations are introduced into the workplace and the position is modified, a person with FASD is unlikely to achieve sustainable employment. It is also possible that any secondary disabilities may be exacerbated from what may be seen as another failure.
Having the following critical factors in place prior to placement in employment will create a better environment for a person with FASD, reduce unwanted terminations and help to achieve sustainable employment.
