Storm.Sonic the Hedgehog 4[] Sonic and Tails landing in Sylvania Castle Zone, from Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II. In Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode II and Episode Metal, the Tornado has its original look from earlier games with few slight changes. In these games, the Tornado was used by Sonic and Tails as their means of transportation when they began investigating Dr. Eggman's latest activities on the neighboring continent.During the ending of Episode Metal, Metal Sonic notices Sonic and Tails flying away in the Tornado and takes Tails' rocket to follow them. This is followed up in the opening of Episode II, where Sonic and Tails are landing in Sylvania Castle Zone Act 1 in the Tornado. The duo later used the biplane to chase down Eggman with his slightly damaged Egg Mobile at the beginning of Sky Fortress Zone Act 1 and during the boss act against Metal Sonic in the Metal Carrier. During the first and boss acts, the second player takes the control of the Tornado which can perform the Tornado Boost to break through wooden crate walls or attack the Metal Carrier. After the boss battle, Sonic and Tails again land on the Sky Fortress and start chasing after Eggman and Metal Sonic.Sonic Lost World[] After being shot on the top wing, Tails pilots the Tornado to the Lost Hex, from the Wii U version of Sonic Lost World. In the Wii U version, PC version and Nintendo 3DS version of Sonic Lost World, the Tornado returns with a slight redesign, appearing closer to its original incarnation while having sleeker edges. At the beginning of the game, Sonic and Tails used the Tornado to chase down Dr. Eggman in the sky, who had a capsule full of imprisoned Animals attached to the Egg Mobile. Treasures from the tomb of China’s first emperor on display at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Terra cotta, China, dynasty, terra cotta warriors, VMFA, Richmond, art exhibits, history, Virginia, events Photos by Erin Parkhurst Terra cotta, China, dynasty, terra cotta warriors, VMFA, Richmond, art exhibits, history, Virginia, events More than 2,200 years ago, China’s first emperor Qin Shihuang took with him into the afterlife an army of 8,000 life-size clay warriors, along with horses, chariots and around 40,000 bronze weapons, including spears, crossbows, arrowheads and battle axes. The massive underground mausoleum compound containing this army as well as works in gold and silver, precious jewelry, ceramics and more took more than three decades to build—it was actually left unfinished at the time of Qin’s death. Covering nearly 20 square miles, its discovery in 1974 by farmers digging a well in the Shaanxi province is considered one of the greatest archeological finds of the 20th century. But in the 10 larger-than-life figures, each weighing more than 400 pounds, now on display in the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts’ new exhibition, Terracotta Army: Legacy of the First Emperor of China, is a glimpse at the humanity behind this extraordinary, almost inhuman achievement. “What’s amazing is that every one of the 8,000 soldiers is essentially a real life portrait, every one is different,” explains VMFA director Alex Nyerges. “The artists who created these 2,200 years ago, were creating portraits of their colleagues.” An archer dressed in a short robe with armor covering his chest and shoulder kneels ready for battle, his brow slightly furrowed and his lips parted in concentration. Another archer stands, his face serene, chin confidently tilted upward as if surveying a battlefield. A cavalryman posed next to his horse seems almost to smile, and an elaborately-costumed general exudes the confidence of command. More than ritual statuary, the different topknots, caps, armor, mustaches and goatees that animate these figures give them a striking level of individuality. Nyerges says the primary takeaway for visitors will be the chance “to be able to stand back and see these soldiers created to protect the emperor in the afterlife.” Terra cotta, China, dynasty, terra cotta warriors, VMFA, Richmond, art exhibits, history, Virginia, events Photos by Markus Schmidt Terra cotta, China, dynasty, terra cotta warriors, VMFA, Richmond, art exhibits, history, Virginia, events Terra cotta, China, dynasty, terra cotta warriors, VMFA, Richmond, art exhibits, history, Virginia, events The exhibition also features more than 130 works of art drawn from the collections of 14 art museums and archeological institutes across the Shaanxi province, including more than 40 objects that are traveling to the U.S. for the first time. It will tell the story of how the Qin. 2025-04-18Cruiser, Helicon Spear, is captured and becomes a prize of the Iron Warriors Legion during the last, disastrous attempt.Battle of Tallarn (010-011.M31) - Tallarn, an Imperial muster world of almost unparalleled size and importance, comes under direct attack by the Iron Warriors Legion. Here the Traitors unleash a virus bombardment that renders the surface of the verdant world of Tallarn to poisoned slime and the air unbreathable. The invasion that follows develops into the largest armoured battle of the Imperium's history, a war fought under the most hellish conditions imaginable. As the war grinds on, it draws in Loyalist and Traitor forces from hundreds of worlds across the entire Segmentum Tempestus before its cataclysmic conclusion.Battle of Terra (014.M31) - As the events of the Horus Heresy neared their tragic conclusion seven years after the fateful betrayal at Istvaan III, those Loyalist Legions not committed to the defence of Terra raced through the Warp, converging on the homeworld of Mankind. The Traitor Legions also massed above Terra to assault the Imperial Palace. The Battle of Terra was the final confrontation of the Horus Heresy that raged on Terra itself between the Forces of Chaos led by the Warmaster Horus and the Loyalist armies of the Imperium of Man led by the Emperor of Mankind himself. The Sons of Perturabo would at long last be able to test themselves against those of Rogal Dorn. The Loyalist forces ultimately proved victorious in their defence of the Imperial Palace, though only just barely, and Horus was ultimately slain by the full psychic powers unleashed by the Emperor on the deck of his massive Battle Barge the Vengeful Spirit, though the Master of Mankind was mortally wounded and had to be interred within the cybernetic life support mechanisms of the advanced psychic augmentation technology known
