2025-04-22Galactic Slice, LLC Made in MilwaukeeI am Jonathan Concepcion, CEO and lead developer of Galactic Slice and this is the start of my gaming company made in Milwaukee. For the longest, I was living the full-time life working 40-48 hours in retail until a back injury put me on the light load list. My life's biggest questions hit me like a ton of bricks. What if this happens again? How will I support my family? Is there anyway to prevent this? In the end, I looked back at some of my old game projects I made in Unity and decided it was time to go full force in releasing an actual game. I grew up playing games and went to college for game design with no luck in landing a job in that field. Overtime, I didn't have confidence that I could do it alone until OneBit Adventure came to my mind. A simple game that could dominate the imaginative mind and bring forth potential in the roguelike world. In this, Galactic Slice was born as a company that would bring games from out of this word in a simple yet effective slice of gaming. The beginning was slow and steady with lots of burnouts. I stumbled across a free asset pack that caught my eye. Being a programmer, I didn't have much flexibility in creating assets nor the artistic eye. That's when Scott Hartill (aka Cluly) came along to help with creating tiles and characters for the project, Onebit Adventure. Within 3 months, I was able to develop a playable version where you could adventure and survive against some rogue turn-based enemies. From then, I knew this was the start of something great that connected my inner passion for retro gaming in a simple and fun experience.Top Video Game Company in Milwaukee!Galactic Slice, LLC is a game company based in Milwaukee, WI that has reached millions of users through its hit mobile game, OneBit Adventure. 2025-03-27MILWAUKEE -- One woman called serial killer Jeffrey L. Dahmer a devil. Another threatened to kill him. Vengeance, rage and sorrow filled the courtroom Monday where the former chocolate factory worker was sentenced to 15 consecutive life sentences in prison for killing, dismembering and, in some cases, eating 15 young men and boys. A Milwaukee County jury Saturday found Dahmer, 31, sane. Judge Laurence C. Gran Jr. gave relatives of Dahmer's victims permission to address the court before he imposed the maximum possible penalty under Wisconsin law. Rita Isbelle, the sister of victim Errol Lindsey and the ninth person to speak, interrupted the proceedings, screaming obscenities at Dahmer and calling him 'Satan.''Jeffrey I hate you,' Isbelle screamed, lunging toward Dahmer. 'I'll kill you.' As the woman rushed toward the table where Dahmer sat, five deputies restrained her and escorted her from the courtroom. Gram called a recess. J.W. Smith, brother of victim Eddie Smith, was the first to address the court. One of 13 brothers and sisters, Smith read statements from his surviving siblings. 'Mr. Dahmer, Eddie's gone now, the victim of your senseless killing, ' Smith said. 'Where do we go from here? Why did this happen to a person like Eddie?' Stanley Miller, uncle of Ernest Miller, the only victim Dahmer stabbed to death, spoke next and told the court there is no place in society for a person like Dahmer. 'There is no place in a civilized society for anyone who shows no regard for life, especially in the form and manner that Jeffrey Dahmer has shown,' Miller said. 'Judge Gram, we ask that you see fit to give Jeffrey Dahmer the maximum sentence.' Miller then turned to Dahmer and said: 'You have become a hero to a few, but you have become a nightmare to so many more. 'You took his life like a thief in the night by cutting his throat,' Miller said. 'You took the coward's way out.' Janie Hagen broke into Spanish, calling Dahmer a 'diablo.' 'I beg you, your honor, don't let this man ever walk the streets or see daylight again,'
