Smart-RIP RIP Kit - Engibody

Again to pickup after it’s fixed sounds kind of crappy. Plus just wanting to get these quotes done to have the lawyer get the ball rolling. Thinking of just going with the 4700 and calling it a day but not sure.. No not front, I mean a booster pack for your factory rear springs. #19 No not front, I mean a booster pack for your factory rear springs. I see! Well I paid for and have installed the full rip kit now, so unless I could sell a used rip kit and get the money back not sure if I could go that route? I do like that the rip kit already seems to make the wind rock a bit better, but def need the rear suspension fixed/down graded to 2wd suspension because if feels extremely stiff ha and makes the van bounce like a see saw going uphill #20 I see! DIY Rip kit for 99 ?

#1 So a while back I posted that I was debating getting a rip kit, it’s a long story that I plan to make another post about probably at some point, but basically this guy who offered to do all of this work including the rip kit for a deal only did half the work after 4.5 months, when he originally quoted me a week or 2 tops to complete the stuff🙄. He did a rip kit and alignment but put 4wd leaf springs on the rear and my van is 2wd… smh. I hired a lawyer so going back to him to swap out not an option. Dropped my van off 6 hours away in Chicago to have another shop provide a quote that I can give the lawyer on what it will cost to fix. The new shop is asking which weight rating of the 2wd leafs I want to order, which is hard to know since the stuff that was supposed to be installed which would allow me to weigh the van accurately never was. Was just curious which rate rating you guys used who have rip kits and what kind of builds you have? I have 800 ah of batteries and a lot of victron equipment, and plan to have a 32 gallon water tank on the other side. Don’t want the rear to feel too stiff but also don’t want to have to upgrade in future. #3 I think you need to know your final

The wheel well shape. It’s the “Sprinter pantload” sag.Rear spring upgrade or booster needed. #78 FYSA - For anyone finding this thread in weeks/months/years: updated plan is to run a mini leaf pack from VC in the rear to supplement my existing factory springs. That will bump me up 1.25". Then I'll add the Striker kit to all four corners and Agile coil overs in the front. That will put me at 3.25" in the rear, and 3 - 3.5" in the front. VC told me they couldn't guarantee driveline angles wouldn't blow everything up, but by my whiteboard math my driveline angle change will be .75" less than a RIP kit at max height, and even less when I'm running fully loaded for longer bouts on the road. Need to crawl under my van with a jack and angle calculator to confirm, but we just got dumped on with a bunch of snow. #79 We make a 2" lift block for the rear to go under the Agile Springs. Total lift would be ~3.5 to 4" depending on spring rate. I've been writing back and forth about this with VC and Taylor the VC sales guy told me to not use the lift block/spacer that comes with the VC kit with my Agile leaf and wouldn't provide specs for the longer U bolts required to source elsewhere. Seems to be some conflicting info. #80 I've been writing back and forth about this with VC and Taylor the VC sales guy told me to not use the lift block/spacer that comes with the VC kit with my Agile leaf and wouldn't provide specs for the longer U bolts required to source elsewhere. Seems to be some conflicting info. Yeah, Taylor just stopped responding to me (likely out of CYA). They really don't want you to do that and while I can see that it's a bit extreme, I personally am a little annoyed by the level of linear thinking over there. I was told I can't run the mini leaf pack + striker, even though it would just be correcting some. #61 On my Agile RIP the “small lift block” is the factory 4x4 3” tall lift block cut down to 1.5”. Yes, the net lift is approximately 3.5” with the Agile full leaf pack. The purpose of the additional 1.5” block according to John at Agile is to “level” the van and eliminate the saggy butt look.View attachment 225852Is that a 2WD? If so, how did you get that much lift out of your front end? Looks like a lot more than the 1-1.5" the Agile RIP normally provides on the front end. #62 Is that a 2WD? Looks great.Curious what Sprinter Pit Stop charged for installing your VC stage 5 kit? #64 To clarify -> You will need to use the VC front shock mounting system to stack the two kits, the Agile shocks do not work with our lift. You can do the Stage 5 or 6.3 with an Agile Coil kit up front. In the rear you can use the VC shocks and all extension brackets, then run the Agile leaf pack + a small lift block with the correct length u-bolts. It works, but the suspension will be riding in the droop zone of the wheel travel at ride height. Just like a typical RIP kit. I'm looking to knock this out soon so I want to make sure I understand this as clearly as possible. I need: 1) To install Striker lift or stage 5 kit (which is basically a striker but with Falken shocks) to get 2" lift at all four corners 2) Agile coil overs on the front two corners which will yield 1-1.5" additional inches (3-3.5" total)3) Agile leaf pack in the rear + striker lift block that will
