I was trying a solution mentioned in another post about running GalaxyCommunication.exe while the error was present. I could not as Windows was blocking it, and then tried running it as an Administrator, restarted my system, and it's working fine now. I've tried every tweak mentioned above with no success (except re-installing under Program Files). But if I log into the Windows 10 machine, GOG launches just fine. It's logging into it by RDP that's causing the problem, somehow. It gets weirder: while GOG is running, if I RDP into the Windows 10 machine, the RDP connection is lost after a short while (GOG stays up). Starts lagging and then freezes no matter what I'm doing. I'm only able to keep the launcher open for roughly 30 seconds before it starts. I've tried reinstalling numerous times and rebooting my PC. In my case, the problem was that I was launching GOG Galaxy via RDP. When launching GOG via my Windows 10 laptop console, the error didn't occur.
