Ontos went over to the other world to help keep Klaus other half in check he made a physical manifestation of the monado, a key that can manipulate that world alone to watch and observe how it would unfold in the homs hands(humans). Malos made a 'Monado' in the same sense

Once his power finally became restored to make himself more powerful. you can say that the physical blade that Rex carries can also be counted as a 'monado' to make Rex a more powerful fighter he just doesnt give it the name nor does Pyra/Mythra. all these evidence are found in the context of the stories plot devices left for the player to figure out and appreciate for themselves rather than the writers to straight in your face tell you @ShadowSilver13 in case you didnt read my Spoiler just know that i did not try to egg on an argument and am being informative and trying to help(bc i was in the same exact reason of thinking as you in that point of the story( which actually excited me more to continue). i could see that anyone who chose not to read the spoiler tag could approach my comment as being offensive, and i apoligize if i did. but like some of the other civil ones who explained; all will make sense toward the end.
