The EVP is ridiculous. Anyone that thinks its a ghost is nuts. Its programed to just "blurt out" random words. Last night it caught 17 words, about 5 seconds apart. Supposedly If I were to believe it, then theres a ghost named clyde in my house, or Mickey, heres what he had to say "make, ladybug, move, taste, grow,shoe,email, comfort, prevent, soldier, law, exsist, accompany, catch and seperate. Oh if your wondering why I bought it, my 5 year old begged me because it was about ghosts. Of course its scary to him being 5... to me stupid and Id love my dollar back! Hunter M2. I booted up the app & instantly went to the EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) tool. The first word I got out was grandfather. I hadn't even said anything about my grandfather that the app could pick out through the microphone. But it spoke grandfather. The other words it spoke had no connection, though.My next encounter happened at my passed grandfather's home. We were there, going through his things. I had a can of Coca-Cola on a table. Having success with the EVP tool, I had it on in the house. I went to get a sip of the pop when the EVP spoke drink. I hadn't said anything. How would the app know?My latest encounter is weird. I was again using the EVP. I let it run, as I had to go to the restroom. The app spoke many random words, but the EVP said pee while I was in the restroom. What sort of app would know that!? Overall, the app is truly remarkable. I do not care if someone thinks my encounters are crazy & foolish or if the developers are laughing at the encounters. I've also started performing my own paranormal investigations, mostly in my town. At first I was a bit skeptical about a "ghost hunting toolkit." This app actually contains 5 separate tools a emf meter, an audio detector, a geoscope, a evp instrument, and a spacial tool. It's like fortune teller giving you initials...you can always tie it to someone or something if you want to bad enough. There were a few minor, minor coincidences with the Evp. However, in less than a few hours of running (@ different times throughout the day and night), it produced about 150 words. After analyzing I have noted a pattern: Pronouns, every day household objects, and everyday struggles (money, homework, work). Of course the end user would feel this is relatable to them. However, after analysis, only 10 out of 350 words captured remotely applied to me. Here is a sample of outputs "Becky, frightened, table, desk, daylight, regret." Ok cool, never known a Becky. I have a desk and a table; I have felt frightened and regret before. 4/5 of those words are basic descriptors and everyday household objects anyone could relate to. There is no information given on the algorithm for forming words. Apparently "spirits" can manipulate the phones sensors to make letters line up to form words. I don't understand how it's an "EVP" when there is no audio analysis being performed. Usually paranormal voices use white noise to form words, and I am not convinced that any part of this is legitimate software.I set a SB-7 spirit Box next to the P-EVP app and ran both simultaneously. While the M2 app was spewing out loads of "paranormal words", the SB-7 had no voices come through while sweeping. This whole app is a hoax, and preys on gullible consumers.
