If you do not have the Garmin Express application installed on your computer, go to garmin.com/express and follow the on-screen instructions to install it (Installing Garmin Express). Map updates are very large, and this process may take a long time on slower internet connections. I went over my download limit as Garmin Express appears to load two lots of maps, one for the PC and the other the device. I did this four times :( Just waiting for the 1st May when I can try it again. I tested 3 different TransAtlantic devices (preloaded with Europe and North America), all NTU compatible, to see if Garmin Express would install the non-NTU maps to the computer, to no avail. All three unlocks were for the NTU maps and NTU maps were installed. I suggest you delete the existing Europe maps from the locations below then use the Advanced Option feature in Garmin Express to re install the Europe maps. Delete existing Europe 2014 maps from all locations:Use Control Panel/Programs and Features to Uninstall the "Garmin City Navigator Europe NT 2014.40"Delete the files Garmin Express uses to install the maps to the computer. Deleting these will force Garmin Express to download them again. Before testing each device I deleted this folder so Express would have to start from scratch.Win 7 & 8Press the Window Key + R Type %programdata%Click OKOpen the Garmin folderOpen Core Update Service folderRight-click the MAP-EU-2014-40 folder and choose DeleteAlso check that Garmin Express is up to date. v3.1.8 was released in the last couple of days and the automatic update feature in Garmin Express is not enabled yet. How do I update Garmin Express?CurtHi Curt, I followed your instructions and ensured no maps remained on my PC, but after two failed attempts at downloading I gave up with Garmin Express - I had no errors and there appeared to be a map in the Core Update Service folder, but somehow it was not recognised at all in Basecamp. This is rather incompatible with my original post...I really do NOT want to have to download it yet again - I am one of many people still with boadband speed which many regard as 'slow', and with a download limit! but it looks like Express has wasted lots of my time and my download allowance in downloading the wrong map.I will probably just not bother until there is the next map release,
