Dvd drive repair 9 0 0 1805

I've never burned DL before and have 2 DL coasters in a row using Sony DRX-810UL and Nero Express software that came with it. I'm trying to burn uncompressed DVD-9 movie using DVDShrink and Nero. The firmware is the latest 2.05D (flashed from 2.05B) and the media is Verbatim +R DL (recommended by Sony). I've heard Nero is not DL friendly. Any suggestions? I tried DVDDecrypter but it keeps crashing on my setup. The drive works fine on DVD-RW burning compressed movies.
