It fits nicely in my hand and my pocket. The screen is bright. There are many adjustment options for all of the functions. Reception is as good as the Droid Global 2 and it accesses 4G networks when they are available. General sound quality is good, but I find the speaker phone to be a little too soft even at the highest setting. However, I am a 73 yer old male and that may account for some of the sound deficiencies--possibly my ears rather than the phone's speaker. Google Now is great, the battery life is impressive considering how much use I'm squeezing out of it, and the processor and RAM are enough that apps and regular use are pretty snappy (I'll probably never get a phone with less than 2GB of RAM again!) Almost everything else out there is supersized for the video streamers. I liked the Droid Mini body size, same as my Incredible 2, with a larger screen surface, gorilla glass and kevlar body. Fits nice in my pockets. Phone sound is much improved and 4G is clearly faster than 3G. Beyond that, it fell flat. Camera has much fewer settings and is very hard to frame your shot. Among the new devices is the Droid Maxx flagship, the Droid Ultra, and the Droid Mini. Preorders begin today, and devices will ship out August 20. The Droid Maxx, however, certainly was the star of the show. On the surface the device looks like your typical high-end handset, sporting a unibody design and 5-inch AMOLED Gorilla Glass screen with a 720x1,280-pixel resolution. Inside its 8.5mm-thick construction, though, is the Maxx's ace in the hole: a gargantuan 3,500mAh battery that boasts 48 hours of continuous battery life. (As a comparison, its Razr Maxx HD predecessor lasts 32 hours and is 9 percent thicker.) The Droid Maxx's CPU is also reportedly 24 percent faster.
