I solved it by unchecking Auto Authorization AND moving the installation folder to NOT be the two Program Files folders. For some reason, when trying to download something to the Program Files or Program Files (x86) folders in windows 11, you need to give it permission. There must be some protection scheme or something for those folders. Doesn't come up if you make a folder outside of windows or the program files folders. Once the IK Manager can start by using a non-protected folder, it can then install to the windows or program files folders. Sorry… DavidR October 8, 2007, 1:55pm 14 No this isn’t a boot scan as you are still in windows. It is a scan of processes in memory and files that would normally run on start-up (startup test) but it isn’t a boot-time scan it isn’t available for win9x, winME.

Send full URLs, just domains. If you don’t install the WebRep / browser plugins, besides the WebRep ratings, you will also lose the phishing site protection. There’s some additional functionality planned for the plugins in the next program update as well. That’s fine, no worries. I don’t think we have anything to hide here… we’re not in the business of stealing your personal data and selling it on the black market, really… CheersVlk system March 8, 2012, 5:27pm 12 may I “politely” ask how many times the OP intends to re-post a thread with the very same topic ???edit: I mean seriously, this is bordering harassment :o rhuds13 March 8, 2012, 5:36pm 13 The OP seems to have maybe a language barrior causing missunderstanding but VLK answered all questions in a simple and easy way to understand. Avast is just trying to cover any future problems legally while still providing great service to all. Good straight answeres to people asking for easy way to understand goes a long way in showing just how Avast cares for the users. Tks VLK. system March 8, 2012, 6:11pm 14 I appreciate your answers greatly !Made me giggle a bit that a global moderator actually answers.Shows that they actually care I am now allot more relaxed about this , i will install Avast now.And , IMO i do not ask the same questions over and over , i got my answers now , so i wont ask the questions i asked on this thread anymore.Only , why am i ‘’ watched ‘’ again now ? system March 8, 2012, 6:15pm 15 What does aggregated mean ? Vlk March 8, 2012, 6:23pm 16 Again, personal information sent by the product is just the IP address and the Avast ID.(by “personal”, I mean any entity that could allows us to identify you).Besides that, there’s a bunch of other non-personal data of course (all the filerep stuff, URLs, suspicious samples (executable files only), …).Let me give you an example. An IP address is useful to us as it allows us to do GeoIP lookups. I.e. we can find your (rough) location - usually at least country. And aggregating the data (in this case, by IP address / country) allows us to say something like: In the last 30 days, our dear Dutch users have seen X web domains, of which Y were infected, leading to a total number of Z malware infection attempts.ThanksVlk system March 8, 2012, 6:49pm 17 Ok , thanks for clearing that up system March 8, 2012, 7:12pm 18 Oh , and 1 last really paranoid question ,WebRep , it collects the domains u visit , but it does not collect passwords or usernames & other info you enter on that website right ? November 6, 2014, 5:53am 1 So a couple of streaming and similar sites I go to use chatango for the group chat. Avast is blocking the chat from loading when it’s in the Flash version, but it doesn’t block it from loading in HTML5, nor does it block any other Flash program I’ve come across.I’ve tried adding chatango into the exceptions, including with an assortment of wildcards.I’ve tried adding the various sites to the exceptions (prime example: vinesauce.com)The only way I can get this to load is to disable Avast, load the page, wait for the chat to load, then re-enable Avast again. Milos November 6, 2014, 8:51am 2 system November 6, 2014, 1:06pm 3 Thank you for the swift response, but unfortunately that still didn’t work.To add a little clarification I apparently forgot last night, the rest of the page loads perfectly, and the ‘frame’ of the chat visibly appears though I can’t click any of it. However, the “buffering/loading the chat” wheel just spins around endlessly like it cannot make a connection until it finally gives an “Unable to load” notice and a button to retry. And, again, as soon as I hit the HTML5 link when loading the chat full-screen it works fine, it appears Avast thinks there’s something wrong with the Chatango flash widget, but NOTHING else. Unfortunately, when it’s embedded in another site, I can’t switch it. system November 6, 2014, 4:47pm 4 Hi, I have the same problem here. I hope they fix it ASAP. system November 6, 2014, 6:16pm 5 I have the same problem as well. Everything ckappenman has said is what’s happening to me. Rest of the page works, but ANY Page, with a Chatango flash chat, wont load, until I disable the web shield. Once that’s disabled? The chat loads fine, then I have to re-enable. However re-enabling doesn’t always work and Web Shield refuses to re-enable 40% of the time until I reboot. system November 6, 2014, 9:40pm 6 Chatango still refuses to load so long as Web Shield is enabled. Also I’ve done some looking around. Web Shield
