Forums Forum BlackBerry 10 Phones & OS BlackBerry 10 Apps 33 I've ported my app "qgvdial" to BB10: qgvdial: A native Qt5 client for Google Voice - BlackBerry World qgvdial sends text messages and also downloads and plays voicemail. It has a screen for all your Google contacts (read-only access) that have phone numbers. qgvdial has two modes of dialing numbers:1. Dialing back: User enters a number and Google Voice calls back the user at one of the user's registered numbers.2. Dial out: User enters a number and Google Voice tells qgvdial to dial a different number. qgvdial then uses the user's cell phone minutes to dial that number. qgvdial is also available as a desktop application for Windows and Linux among other distributions like Harmattan, Sailfish and Symbina (yikes). It works on Mac OSX as well, but since I don't know yet how to package Mac applications, you'll have to compile it yourself. There's a iOS version in the works as well. There are already quite a lot of BB10 users and one of the major complaints is the UI is "clunky".Therefore: UI designers who can do a better job than me are always welcome. The source is available here: since Google Code disallowed binary uploads, the latest binaries are available here: If you have issues, there is a "Send logs" button on the settings screen. Just recently when I installed it on my passport I noticed a bug. I know have 2 step authentifcation setup on my gmail account so when I log in it asks for a code that it sends to my cell phone via text. I type the code into the app after I get it but it takes me back to the log in screen. It doesnt seem to log me in. It goes in circles.. Help would be great. 10-09-14 11:05 PM 33 Send me logs using the "Send logs" button. 10-09-14 11:08 PM 43 thanks! but not available for india 10-09-14 11:37 PM 33 Originally Posted by vibhorsingh86 thanks! but not available for india Out of curiosity: How would you use Google Voice in India? Currently using z10 as an internet-only phone. 10-22-14 11:18 AM 33 Originally Posted by TheNileRepublican Hi! Does this need a voice service (e.g. ATT) or can I just use my WiFi? Currently using z10 as an internet-only phone. If you use the dial back method in qgvdial, Google Voice will call your number and complete the call.If you have a VOIP number and can make and receive VOIP calls on your Z10, then qgvdial can be used to dial back to the VOIP number. On the other hand, if you're asking if qgvdial can itself initiate a voip call, then no, it cannot. As far as I know Google Voice has discontinued sip based voice calls and the protocol it uses for Hangouts is not open ... and cannot be easily reverse engineered. I know that there are quite a few people who use internet only phones - I do that as well, so I'd like to know your tricks so that if I can make qgvdial do that automatically, I'll do it in qgvdial. 10-22-14 12:02 PM 14,506 Gonna give it a try when I can. I use GV heavily. 10-22-14 12:12 PM 33 Originally PostedComments

PassportSQW100-1/10.3.1.632 and a Z30 10-04-14 03:43 PM 64 Thanks! Been waiting for an app like this Posted via CB10 10-04-14 03:44 PM 158 Thanks but no thanks. Ban google! Posted via CB10 10-04-14 03:46 PM 33 I've uploaded at least 2 new version to the appstore for the Passport, both of which have been denied for silly reasons.I don't have a real passport to try it on, but whatever I've seen on the simulator seems to indicate that it looks and works well enough. It should be available "anytime now" 10-04-14 03:50 PM 33 Quick question for any Passport and Q10 users out there: Does the device support landscape orientation? Do your other apps turn when you turn it sideways? It seems the simulator for the passport and q10 doesn't turn so I had no clue how to deal with it.I've submitted a new release to the BB app world, but if any Passport/Q10 users want to try the latest bar, it is at https :// qgvdial.yuvraaj.net/downloader/showAll 10-08-14 12:14 PM 1,333 Says unavailable for my z10 as well. 2025-04-07By Tre Lawrence Gonna give it a try when I can. I use GV heavily. Do you use a SIP or Skype number? How do you plan to try it out? 10-22-14 12:20 PM 14,506 Originally Posted by uvatbc Do you use a SIP or Skype number? How do you plan to try it out? Regular dial-out using my minutes. I confused who's asking for Internet phone capabilities. 10-22-14 12:29 PM 2 Hmm. Well it works with Skype on mine. So far that's the only one I tested before your qgvdial. 10-22-14 06:32 PM 852 I'm assuming if you use the dial out option then it shows your actual cell number and not the GV number? My girlfriend is trying to keep her actual phone number from her family. So am I correct in thinking the dial back number is the method of choose here?
